The Thames Valley Chamber of Commerce (TVCC) proudly continues its mission to be the independent and influential voice of the Thames Valley business community, working tirelessly to represent regional interests at the highest levels of UK Government.
Over the first 12 months of the new administration, TVCC has been deeply engaged in a wide-ranging programme of policy advocacy and consultation. Through direct dialogue with Ministers, MPs, and government departments, the Chamber has submitted evidence, authored open letters, and provided expert proposals on key national priorities.
Topics addressed include, but are not limited to:
- The Comprehensive Spending Review
- Annual Budgets
- The Western Rail Link to Heathrow
- The UK’s Industrial Strategy
- The Planning and Infrastructure Bill
- English Devolution (White and Green Papers)
- Environmental Audit Committees
These efforts reflect the Chamber’s central goal: to ensure the Thames Valley is seen – and supported – as the UK’s true turbo economy. Together with strong support from local MPs, TVCC continues to promote the region as a premier business destination and a vital engine of the UK’s economic growth.
“The Chamber’s role as an independent and representative voice is more important than ever,” said Gareth Ralphs, Head of Business Representation and Policy. “We are working across all sectors and with businesses of every size to ensure government policy reflects the real needs and potential of our regional economy.”
TVCC’s lobbying efforts are powered by its members. Engagement is facilitated through structured programmes such as the Consultation Panel and Parliamentary Engagement Works Programme, both of which provide members with a direct link into policy development and dialogue with Westminster.
He continues “Our strength lies in the collective insights and experiences of our business community. We speak with authority because our members actively shape the messages we take to government.”
TVCC invites all members and interested parties to support or participate in its advocacy work.
